Despite being a Hollywood superstar with a slew of blockbuster hits, Chris Hemsworth doesn’t shy away from his responsibilities as a dad. The 38-year-old Avengers Endgame actor was spotted this week picking up his kids from their primary school in Byron Bay.
The devoted father was seen carrying his nine-year-old daughter, India, from the school gate to their waiting vehicle. India, his firstborn child with wife Elsa Pataky, went barefoot for the ride home.
In a heartwarming moment, Hemsworth affectionately planted a kiss on his daughter’s cheek as they walked. Following them was one of India’s younger brothers.
Chris and Elsa share three children: nine-year-old India and twin boys Sasha and Tristan, aged seven.
For the school run, the Thor star showcased his superhero-like physique in a navy blue T-shirt that revealed his ripped arms. He completed his casual look with a cap to shield his blond locks from the sun.
Chris and Elsa moved to Byron Bay in 2014, seeking a quieter life for their family. They reside in the suburb of Broken Head, just a short drive from central Byron, in a stunning mansion estimated to be worth $30 million.
Elsa spoke about their move in an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, highlighting the benefits of living in Australia. She mentioned that the decision to leave LA and settle in Byron Bay has been immensely rewarding for their children, allowing them to enjoy nature, animals, and outdoor activities like horse riding.
While Chris may be known as Thor on screen, his role as a caring and involved dad shines just as brightly in his everyday life.
